Big Day For Wolves. Devils Didn’t Have A Chance

LOGANVILLE, Ga. — Buford rushed for 318 yards and added 162 yards through the air Friday night in a 49-0 victory over Loganville at Red Devil Stadium.

With a matchup against Flowery Branch for the region championship approaching, the Wolves avoided a potential letdown by relying on their deep backfield and controlling the game from the opening quarter.

Michigan commit Christian Turner scored three rushing touchdowns as Buford built a 35-0 halftime lead. Turner opened the scoring with a 1-yard run and added a 20-yard touchdown later in the first quarter.

On Loganville’s next possession, Elijah Turner intercepted quarterback Tanner Green. The turnover led to a 6-yard touchdown pass from Aaron McLaughlin to Tyler Gillis with 9:12 remaining in the second quarter, giving Buford a 21-0 lead.

Anthony Grant scored on a 6-yard run with 5:24 left in the half. Grant finished with 99 yards on 11 carries and later added a 20-yard touchdown run.

Christian Turner’s third touchdown, a 9-yard run, extended the lead to 35-0 before halftime.

The second half was played with a running clock. On the first play of Buford’s opening possession, Darion Brown broke free for a 72-yard touchdown run. Brown finished with 95 yards on five carries.

Grant scored again on the second play of Buford’s next possession to complete the scoring.

Kicker Hayden Olsen converted all seven extra-point attempts for the Wolves.
