Dacula — Officers with the Gwinnett County Police Department responded to what was called in as a domestic dispute at a Dacula/Hamilton Mill area fast-food restaurant.
On March 3, 2020, at approximately 9:50 p.m. a dispute broke out at Wendy’s fast food restaurant located at 2110 Hamilton Creek Pkwy. in Dacula. The incident started when a black male driving a white Honda passenger car came to the drive-thru window requesting a refill on a soda. The manager informed the male that it was the company’s policy to not give refills through the drive-thru window. The male got upset and threw what remained of his soda onto the manager before driving around to the restaurant doors.
The male came to the restaurant door where he beckoned to other Wendy’s employees to come outside and fight him. A male employee went to open the door and the suspect struck him. Other employees exited the store to obtain the suspect’s license plate information. The suspect pushed a female employee onto the ground. The suspect then instructed a pregnant female who was with him to “run that b$%&* over.” The pregnant female drove onto the curb where the female employee was standing striking her with their vehicle. This caused the female employee to fall to the ground.
Both the male and female left the scene heading south on Braselton Highway. The primary suspect is described as a black male wearing a red hoodie and red and white shoes. No one was able to get the tag information for the suspect’s vehicle.
Only minor injuries were sustained during the altercation and did not require a trip to the hospital.
