Advance, in-person voting for the General Election set for Tuesday, Nov. 5, is now open.
Gwinnett County residents who are registered to vote can cast ballots for federal, state and county level offices through Nov. 1. The following locations are open for advance voting from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily:
- Bogan Park Community Recreation Center — 2723 N. Bogan Road, Buford
- George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center — 55 Buford Highway, Suwanee
Voters can view a sample ballot for the upcoming election, as well as their designated polling location, by visiting the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page. A sample ballot can be requested by mail or email by calling the Gwinnett Elections Office at 678-226-7210 or the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office at 404-656-2871
Those who do not vote in advance can cast a ballot from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, at their respective polling location.
The city of Buford will conduct a special municipal election, with advance voting open through Nov. 1. Voters can cast ballots from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at Buford City Hall, which is located at 2300 Buford Highway NE. Saturday voting will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 19 and Nov. 26, also at city hall.
Buford residents will be asked to vote on two matters related to homestead exemptions. Voters will decide whether the city’s ad valorem taxes for municipal purposes in the amount of $22,000 of the assessed value of the homestead for city residents be amended to increase the exemption to $100,000 and whether the age requirement for homestead exemptions be lowered from 70 to 65.
