BUFORD — A Buford area restaurant was cited with numerous violations when the restaurant was visited by a health inspector out to perform a routine inspection thus resulting in a failing score.

An inspector visited Sushi Niko Niko Hibachi located at 3260 Buford Dr., Suite 20 and 30, Buford, Ga. 30519 on February 3, 2020. Numerous violations were found resulting in a failing score of 60 U.  

The inspection report stated, “Ice machine observed with significant mold-like build-up. Multiple plates and food storage containers observed with food debris remaining on them.” This is only one violation among a host of others.  Raw fish and other meats were stored with items that could get contaminated.  The inspector also observed raw seafood was being improperly thawed out.
