The Gwinnett County Police Department has arrested a Duluth man in connection with the stabbing death of a 19-year-old female from Atlanta whose remains were found in a wooded area in Flowery Branch.
According to authorities, Timothy Krueger, 49, gave a full confession in the stabbing death of Sarai Llanos Gomez of Ecuador. Krueger is charged with felony murder and aggravated assault, and investigators with Hall County have taken out a warrant against the suspect for concealing a death. Kruger remains in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
“I’m proud of the way our CID and Intel Unit collaborated with the Department of Homeland Security, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Gwinnett County detectives to find this young woman’s killer,” said Hall County Sheriff Gerald Couch. “Six weeks ago we had no idea who our victim was and we had no leads on her killer. After hundreds of hours of intense investigative work, our team was able to put a suspect behind bars. I pray this brings a sense of justice to Ms. Gomez and her family.”
Hall County detectives believe the stabbing likely took place at the suspect’s Duluth home.
Gomez’s remains were found in a wooded area off Paradise Point Road in Flowery Branch.
