Avis Hodges, age 68, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edna Hodges. She is survived by her children, Robert and Melanie Lokey, Covington, GA, Travis and Betty Lokey, Douglasville, GA, and Christie Barnett, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Kaylee Lokey, Joshua and Heather Lokey, Ashley and Cody Dennis, Toriana Lokey, Jonathan Lokey, and Jade Barnett, Asher Barnett; great-grandchildren, Carson Lokey, Charlie Rose Lokey, and Courtney Jean Lokey; sister, Edna Hodges-Smith, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Hodges was born on November 21, 1950, in Atlanta, GA. She was a 1968 graduate of Decatur High School, Decatur, GA. She was a retired office manager from Atlanta Roofing and Remodeling Co. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid pool player. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
