The City of Buford and Buford Community Center is proud to announce its upcoming 2018/19 season for the Sylvia Beard Stage Series as well as the annual Fall concert.

Highlighting the Sylvia Beard Stage Series will be the first full season of productions in collaboration with Theatre Buford.  The shows featured in this season include See Rock City, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, A Streetcar Named Desire, and the musical Footloose.  “Our first show with Theatre Buford, Damn Yankees, was outstanding and we are looking forward to our first full season of productions,” stated Todd Cleveland, BCC Director.

Filling in the remainder of the Sylvia Beard Stage Series are 12 amazing musical and comedic performances.  Grammy winning artist Mike Farris makes his return to Buford in September. Georgia Music Hall of Famer Francine Reed will be back performing with the Joe Gransden Quintet.  John Driskell Hopkins, founding member of the Zac Brown Band, will be performing a Christmas concert in December with the Joe Gransden Big Band. The Coasters and The Drifters will also be performing in the Sylvia Beard Theatre this year along with many others.

“We are very excited about our upcoming season of shows.  We feel that our shows and talent continue to get better each and every year,” said Todd Cleveland.  “We have season ticket and flex-plan packages available and single show tickets are now on sale!” Tickets and information for all performances can be found at www.bufordcommunitycenter.com or by calling the box office at 770-904-2740.

The entertainment centerpiece of our Fall performances is our annual concert on the lawn.  This year we have a great high-energy concert lined up. The show features co-headliners LOCASH and Michael Ray with performances by The Cadillac Three and special guest The Daniel Lee Band.  The greatest part of this huge performance is that admission is FREE!
