BUFORD — Buford claimed victories for both their varsity boys’ and girls’ basketball teams in their season opener at the North Georgia Showcase held at the Buford Arena on Saturday, November 9. Buford hosted the all-day event where 18 teams took the court to show off their skills.
The varsity girls’ basketball team for the Wolves played North Forysth and won the game 64-53. Tatum Ozment led Buford scoring with 12 points. Also scoring in the double digits were Blair Wallis with 11 points, Ashyia Willis and Tate Walters each added 10 points.
Buford boys’ made easy work of Collins Hill with a 72-38 victory over the War Eagles. Sebastian Augustave, Caleb Williams, and Alahn Sumler each contributed 13 points to Buford’s win.
