Blue Landworks Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the E Center

While the E Center is still signing on tenants and others are busy retrofitting their suites, Blue Landworks has opened for business.  On November 7th, Blue Landworks owner, Taylor Anderson welcomed a group of family, friends, and leaders in both business and government to the ribbon cutting ceremony for his new office.

Blue Landworks is a civil engineering and land surveying firm that has been in business for ten years this month.  The original location for the nine employee firm was off of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Suwanee. Anderson who is a Sugar Hill Council Member and former Sugar Hill Downtown Development Authority member was an instrumental part in the birth of the E Center and Sugar Hill’s master Downtown plan.

Taylor decided to move his firm to the E Center because he believes in the importance of the downtown being central to the community of Sugar Hill.  “I want to show that I am committed to the downtown plan,” states Anderson. He believes that the E Center will be a great place for his employees to work.

The Blue Landworks occupies suites 230 and 233 which is on the upper level facing the pond and the Bowl side of the development.  The office was created with a “fun, bright, and vibrant feel,” claims Anderson. The previous office for the firm was cramped and Taylor did not want the same cramped feel as before.  The new office has plenty of natural light. It also features modern light fixtures that pay homage to the lighting that can be found in the E Center’s stairwells. The offices within the suite feature glass walls to promote that open feeling.

On the morning of the 7th, a crowd of approximately 70 came out to see the new office and show their support for Taylor Anderson.  The crowd included his family; representatives from the cities of Duluth, Lilburn, and Chamblee; representatives from various groups within the City of Sugar Hill including City Manager and Assistant Manager, Downtown Development Authority, Business Alliance, Preservation Society, and city hall; friends; and other business leaders.

Anderson states that he has been pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming outpouring of support for his new endeavor at the E Center.  Employees and clients alike are excited to make use of this upbeat, spacious, and modern office suite for years to come.
