On Saturday evening, the Hall County Fire Services responded to a call about a boat on fire near Big Creek Park off of Big Creek Road and Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford.
The call came in just before 6 p.m. and crews from Hall County along with assistance from Forsyth County, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers worked to extinguish the fire and take care of the people that were onboard the boat.
Two adults sustained burn-related injuries and were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Two juveniles were also on the boat at the time of the fire but did not sustain any injuries. The two juveniles were later reunited with their parents.
The identities of the adults have not been released at this time.
The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
