The Gwinnett County Swiftwater Team recovered the body of a missing kayaker from the Chattahoochee River late Tuesday afternoon.
The man was identified as David Southin, 41, of Lawrenceville.
The incident is under investigation, and Mark McKinnon, public affairs officer with the Law Enforcement Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, said the investigation would likely take weeks.
