Buford High School’s softball team announced their first baseman Adriana Martinez’s commitment to Boston College’s fast pitch softball program. The junior helped the Lady Wolves win their 11th state title in 2022, their first in Class AAAAAAA.
Martinez was named First Team All-Region for Region 8-AAAAAAA, GACA First Team All-State for Class AAAAAAA and Gwinnett Daily Post First Team All-County following the 2022 season.
Martinez has put up some impressive career stats while playing for the Lady Wolves. Her career batting average is .375 while her career slugging percentage is .694. She is currently fifth on the all-time home run list at Buford High School with 17 home runs to her name. With one year left at Buford, this number will surely climb.
Martinez will join her Buford teammate Tavye Borders at Boston College. Borders announced her commitment to play for Boston College on Jan. 15.
