Brynlee Bennett, a first grader in Ms. Bass’s class, was selected as the North Gwinnett Voice’s Reader Spotlight for January 2024.
Brynlee, along with her parents Jessica and Jacob, and her younger brother Brooks, are the proud owners of a fish named Bubbles.
Brynlee is recognized for her compassionate nature and determination to excel in reading. She has been working diligently to read chapter books and has progressed through various levels. Her current favorite series is “Mercy Watson” by Kate DiCamillo, which follows the adventures of a heroic pink pig who rescues people. The amusing tales of the series are what Brynlee finds most enjoyable. She has recently completed her first reading quest about animals and has already moved on to her second one.
In her free time, Brynlee likes to indulge in various hobbies. She loves making crafts at home and playing with her brother Brooks. She also enjoys outdoor activities, especially jumping on her trampoline and performing front flips, cartwheels, and handstands. Brynlee is also a talented young athlete who participates in softball and cheerleading.
