The Region 8-AAAAAA All-Region teams for softball were announced on Monday by the coaches in the region.
The region’s Pitcher of the Year award went to Buford junior Olivia Duncan.
Buford players that made the first team all-region were sophomores Mackenzie Pickens (infielder) and Madison Pickens (catcher) along with seniors Olivia Haag (outfielder) and Taylor Malvin (infielder).
The second team all-region selections for Buford were sophomores Adriana Martinez (infielder) and Emma Grace Williams (pitcher), as well as junior Emma Castorri (infielder).
Lanier senior Lauren Cothern (infielder) was also named second-team all-region.
