We are excited to announce the Reader of the Week, fourth-grader Avril Bennett! Avril’s teachers are Mrs. Stephanie Perry and Mrs. Amy Klem.
Avril’s favorite book is “Warriors: Fire & Ice” because, she said, “there are chapters where you’re like, ‘What’s going to happen next?’ I like long mystery books where you have no clue what is going to happen.”
Avril’s favorite author is J. K. Rowling, who wrote the Harry Potter series.
“There is magic and a lot of mysterious chapters in her books,” Avril said.
It’s no surprise that mystery and magic are her favorite genres.
Avril is the proud owner of seven pets — she has two dogs, three fish, and two cats. Her family includes her dad, mom, step-mom and step-sister. Avril’s favorite color is blue. She likes art, skiing and reading. Her favorite place to ski is Vermont.
Avril has already made the Million Word Club at school, and we are proud to recognize her as the Reader of the Week! Keep up the great work, Avril!
