Meet Amyra Noorani, a fourth-grade student at Buford Senior Academy.  Amyra’s teachers are Mrs. Buffo and Mrs. McGraw. Amyra is the Buford Senior Academy Reader of the Week.

“Amyra is an amazing reader and leads her class in learning about new things,” says Mrs. Sara Blankenship, BSA Media Specialist. “She’s a hard worker and has achieved a ton of reading goals so far this year!”

Amyra really enjoys reading fantasy novels. She claims she loves books in the fantasy genre because “it’s about usually something that would never happen in real life.” So it is not surprising at all that she loves reading the Harry Potter book series the most.  Amyra states, “I like it because it is a really good series with lots of adventure and magic.” J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series is her favorite author because she is a talented author and grabs Amyra’s attention.

Hanging out with her mom, dad, and little brother is one of Amyra’s favorite pastimes.  In her free time, she also enjoys playing Minecraft and Roblox on her iPad, reading books, and eating desserts that have chocolate in them.  Amyra says she used to play softball but now enjoys playing basketball.

Congratulations Amyra!  Keep up the good work! Go Wolves!

The media specialists at the Buford Senior Academy and Buford Academy select the Buford City Schools Reader of the Week.  Buford students grades first through fifth have a chance at being named the Reader of the Week.
