Meet Graham Young, a fifth-grader at the Buford Senior Academy. Graham is a student of Mrs. Currie and Mrs. Gulisano. He was selected as this week’s Reader of the Week for the Buford Senior Academy because of his love of reading and his leadership skills. “Graham is a fantastic leader! He always smiles and encourages others,” says BSA Media Specialist, Mrs. Sara Blankenship.
“He loves to read and learn new things,” adds Mrs. Blankenship. Graham’s favorite book at the moment is “Holes” by Lois Sacher. “It is my favorite because I like reading about mysteries, and I really like the plot,” claims Graham.
Even though his favorite book is by Lois Sacher, he says his favorite author overall is Stuart Gibbs. Graham says that Gibbs is his favorite author because he is the author of his favorite book series, the “Spy School” series. Learning about his favorite book, series, and author, it should come as no surprise that his favorite genre of books to read is that of the mystery genre.
Graham not only loves to read but also loves to be active. He enjoys playing basketball and baseball. On top of those two sports, Graham claims he really loves to ride his mountain bike. His absolute favorite food is spaghetti and when given the chance, Graham prefers to be at the beach with his only sibling, his brother.
