Third grader Kallie Clack is one of Mrs. Wiist’s most avid readers and has earned the Buford Academy Reader of the Week honor.
Kallie is currently enjoying the Minecraft series, but she said her all-time favorite books are The Penderwicks series by Jeanne Birdsall.
“Kallie is an amazing reader and has soared past the first quarter goal in AR in true Kallie fashion,” said Lana Nix, Buford Academy’s media specialist. “She is a very quiet, sweet young lady who is a joy to sit down and speak with. She is wise beyond her years.”
Kallie is the daughter of Erin and Cameron and has a sister, Kendall, who is in kindergarten at BES. She enjoys staying active by playing with her dog, a Boston Terrier named Rocket, playing tennis and baseball, as well as playing with her friends. A fun fact about Kallie is that she doesn’t like the color pink.
“We are excited to have Kallie as our Reader of the Week for Buford Academy,” Nix said. “She is an excellent representation for this accomplishment.”
