Meet Olivia Lewis, a fifth-grade student at Buford Senior Academy. Olivia has been selected as BSA’s Reader of the Week due to her expressed excitement and enthusiasm for reading. Her teachers this year are Dr. Donna Duceatt and Ms. SaResa Williams. Olivia is described by the BSA media specialist, Sara Blankenship, as a sweet girl and an avid reader. “She always has a book around,” Blankenship adds.“She really enjoys reading about all the various book characters and feeling like she is part of the story.”
Olivia’s favorite genre of books is mystery, but she enjoys fantasy as well; her all-time favorite book is “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” When talking about the fourth installment of the Harry Potter series, Olivia shares, “I enjoyed the book so much because I truly felt like I was in the book while I read the story.” Olivia also loves James Patterson books and explained how his stories never fail to make her laugh out loud.
Olivia has no shortage of favorite stories, but her interests don’t just lie in reading and books. New York City is Olivia’s favorite place in the world and she never turns down her favorite meal of spaghetti with Italian sausage. Olivia’s favorite sport is gymnastics; she is a well-performing gymnast herself as well as a Girl Scout.
Olivia works hard and embodies the spirit of being a Buford Wolf! Keep up the good work!

Buford students grades first through fifth have a chance at being named the Reader of the Week.
