Aiden Crayne is an “avid” reader, says Buford Senior Academy Media Specialist Emily Stewart, who selected the fourth grader as a reader spotlight.
“Aiden is simply spectacular,” she says.
Aiden’s favorite book is “Geronimo Stilton” by author Elisabetta Dami, and his favorite author is Rick Riordan, who is best known for his Percy Jackson series. Overall, Aiden’s preferred book of choice would feature some type of adventure.
“Aiden is a reader at heart! I often can find him ‘lost in a book’ during reading time in Language Arts,” says his teacher, Stephanie Perry. “He has been so eager to become a ‘Challenge Champion’ this year and has expanded his love of reading to new genres and staples of books!”
As a Challenge Champion, Aiden has completed three challenges of his choice in Biblionasium, Challenge Champion round one — reading 1,800 pages — and Challenge Champion round two — reading 2,200 pages.
Aiden enjoys sports and likes to play lacrosse, basketball and football. He hopes to turn that love of sports into a career one day.
“I hope to be a NBA player because I am tall and really like to play basketball,” Aiden says.
