Daniel Jung is an avid reader. In fact, it’s his favorite hobby.
“Reading is the most favorite thing to do because it’s not only fun but also leads me into my imagination,” says Daniel, a fifth grader at Buford Senior Academy.
Daniel’s favorite author is Chris Grabenstein, the New York Times bestselling author of several children’s book series, including the Lemoncello series, the Smartest Kid series, the Dog Squad series and the award-winning Haunted Mystery series.
“I like Chris Grabenstein’s books because the books are funny, adventurous and interesting,” says Daniel, whose hobbies also include playing the cello.
When he grows up, Daniel wants to become a scientist, “because I’d love to discover the way to figure unsolved things out and life science like animals, living things, etc.”
His homeroom/English language arts teacher, Mrs. Natalie Shaw, has high praise for Daniel.
“Daniel is an amazing, one-of-a-kind student with a huge heart,” Mrs. Shaw said. “He has a personality that always shines brightly and his love of learning shows in all that he does. He always gives 100% in all that he does and takes great pride in his academic work.”
Congratulations, Daniel, on being selected as a Reader Spotlight!
