Justus Olomo is a fourth grader in Mrs. Rushin’s homeroom at Buford Senior Academy. He has been selected for a reader spotlight by Ms. Emily Stewart, media specialist at Buford Senior Academy.
“I chose Justus because he loves reading so much,” Stewart says. “He is a Challenge Champion (meaning he has completed at least 5 challenges in Biblionasium), and he consistently visits the Media Center for a new book. He is a great student!”
Justus can often be found with a book by his favorite author, Rick Riordan, or reading the Bible.
Riordan is Justus’ favorite author because, “he turns Egyptian, Norse, Greek and Roman mythology into action or funny paced books.”
“Justus’ love and excitement for reading is refreshing,” says Mrs. Sutherland, Justus’ language arts teacher. “He is a role model to other readers.”
When Justus isn’t at school, he can be found reading, solving math problems, playing video games and playing soccer. When he grows up, Justus says he wants to be a lawyer, “because I like to read books and defend good causes.”
