Osvaldo Montesuma-Herrera, a second grader in Ms. Jenna Rolin’s class at Buford Academy, was chosen for a reader spotlight because of his “constant love of reading.”
Lego books are what keep Osvaldo engaged in reading. He uses them for inspiration for what he should build with his own Legos at home.
“He visits us in the media center almost every day,” says Ms. Lana Nix, media specialist at Buford Academy. “His leadership attitude with his friends and peers definitely shines through. He has a caring heart and his manners are impeccable. Because of Osvaldo’s personality and standout attitude towards school, he exemplifies the Buford Way on a daily basis.”
Osvaldo’s family is important to him. His family includes his parents, Luz and Randy; his sister, Karla, a sophomore at BHS; two birds; and a cat named Gris.
In his free time, Osvaldo likes to watch “SpongeBob SquarePants,” play volleyball with his sister and play defense for his soccer team.
