Buford has punched their ticket to the GHSA Class AAAAAAA Girls Basketball Elite Eight after they had a big 72-52 win over Cherokee on Friday night, Feb. 24 at the Buford Arena. Junior Ava Grace Watson was crucial to Buford’s victory.
Standouts for Buford (26-3) in the game against Cherokee were Watson with 31 points and senior Taylor Romano had 18 points.
The Lady Wolves are ranked No. 2 in Class AAAAAAA and No. 4 overall in Georgia according to MaxPreps. Buford will host the winner of the North Paulding-Pebblebrook game in the Elite Eight.
