BUFORD — The Lady Wolves pull off the first perfect season for the Buford girls basketball program as they end their regular season and region tournament 24-0. Buford claims their first Region 8-AAAAAA title after being moved up from AAAAA this year.
Buford got off to a nine-point lead and never looked back as the Lady Wolves defeated Habersham Central 62-31 on Saturday night at the Buford Arena.
Ava Grace Watson led Buford’s offense scoring 19 points. Region Player of the Year Ashyia Willis contributed with 11 points and seven assists while Sara Viti had eight points and five rebounds. Tatum Ozment assisted with nine rebounds for the Lady Wolves.
Buford will host Alexander in the first round of the state playoffs. Date and time TBD.
