The Buford High School Wrestler of the Week, Talen Thompson, is 32-10 this season and placed second at the Gwinnett County Tournament. The 160-pound senior was Takedown Invitational Champion and placed second at the Bradley Central Tournament in Tennessee.
Talen was sixth in state in as a freshman and was a state qualifier last season, his junior season, after coming back from an injury in 2020. The four-year starter plans to attend college at the University of Georgia or Georgia Tech.
