A Buford man is suspected of fatally shooting two women and then turning a handgun on himself in an attempted suicide Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Shamiek Johnson, 26, is accused of fatally shooting Anne Marie Wilson, 50, and her daughter, Lauren Wilson, 20, both of Broome Road in Gainesville, where the shootings occurred.
The deaths were discovered when a family member checking on the victims found their bodies inside their home and called 911. Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office think the incident was domestic related. Johnson and Lauren Wilson had a child together.
Johnson was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. He remained in critical condition Thursday morning, Feb. 25.
