Buford Green Wolf Head Logo in Oval FrameLOGANVILLE — Buford’s varsity softball team traveled to take on a Region 8AAAAA rival Loganville on Thursday.  A strong performance by the Buford bullpen would lead to a complete shut out of Loganville as the Wolves would beat them 11-0 in five innings.

Senior Ansleigh Hollifield (4-2) would pitch four innings for Buford allowing only one hit, striking out six, and walking one.

Offensive standouts for Buford against Loganville were Hollifield who went 3-for-3, had a two-run home run, earned two RBI’s, and one run; junior Abbi Perkins was 1-for-4, had a triple hit, earned three RBI’s, and had two runs; senior Kara Taylor would go 2-for-3, earning one RBI, and scoring one run; and freshman Olivia Duncan who went 2-for-3, had one RBI, and added two runs scored.

This win brings the overall season record for Buford to 11-8 and 2-1 in Region 8AAAAA.

Buford will play two games on Saturday in the Ram Classic Tournament at Grayson High School.
