BUFORD — Buford quarterback Ashton Daniels announced via Twitter on Monday afternoon that he has chosen to verbally commit to further his academic and football careers at Stanford University.
The six-foot-three, 200-pound rising senior led Buford to two back-to-back state championships in football under head coach Bryant Appling. Daniels has been a key to the success of the team as he leads with a calm, steady character both as the quarterback and on special teams as a punter for the Wolves.
Daniels also plays lacrosse as a midfielder for Buford and was selected as All-County Second Team last season.
