BUFORD — A local restaurant had a routine health inspection recently and the inspector found numerous violations resulting in a failing score.
Smokey Bones located at the Mall of Georgia, 3333 Buford Dr., Suite VB01C, Buford Ga. 30518 had a routine health inspection on January 31, 2020. Numerous violations were found by the inspector and the restaurant received a 62 on the inspection.
The inspector observed black and pink mold in the ice machine. They also found chicken that was supposed to be thoroughly cooked not meeting the required internal temperature. It came off the grill at 161F and to meet code it has to be 179F. Food was also found to be above the cold storage temperature it should have been.
