COLUMBUS — In their 15th straight appearance at the Elite Eight softball tournament in Columbus, the Buford Wolves softball team took on Harris County in the first game of the tournament on Thursday.  Buford beat Harris County 1-0 and will advance to the second round on Friday.

Senior pitcher Ansleigh Hollifield (13-2) pitched her third no-hitter of the season against Harris County.  Hollifield allowed no runs or hits and only walked two batters in her seven innings of work.

Buford would score their only run when senior Kara Taylor hit a single with two outs to drive in junior Emi Hall in the fourth inning.  Hall would end the game batting 2-for-3 with two singles and one run scored.
