Buford softball rallies from five-run deficit to beat North Forsyth 10-7

BUFORD — Buford erased an early five-run deficit and scored four unanswered runs over the final three innings to defeat North Forsyth 10-7 on Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Buford Softball Complex, keeping the Wolves unbeaten through their first seven games.

North Forsyth built a 5-0 lead before Buford’s offense came alive in the bottom of the second inning.

Junior Ansley Kehren was hit by a pitch to begin the rally and later scored when junior Emma Asmer lined an RBI single into left field. Back-to-back walks then loaded the bases for senior Brooklyn Atha, who delivered a two-out triple into the right-field corner that cleared the bases and pulled Buford within 5-4.
