Buford stays unbeaten with win over River Ridge
BUFORD, Ga. — Buford’s balanced offense powered the Wolves to a 4-0 start after defeating River Ridge on Friday.
Ella Pierce Hensley, Summer Castorri and LG Goldin each collected two hits, while the Wolves’ 3-hole hitter drove in three runs despite going 1-for-4 at the plate.
River Ridge was led by Koester, who went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Teammates Josie Bohannon and Gigi Bloom also tallied hits for the Knights.
With the victory, Buford improved to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in Region 8-6A. The Wolves travel Saturday to Lassiter High School for a doubleheader against Gordon Lee at 12:15 p.m., followed by Lassiter at 2:30 p.m.
