Buford resident Arthur Nichelson, a freshman at the Georgia Institute of Technology, has earned Faculty Honors for the fall 2024 semester. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 academic average for the semester. Nichelson is a 2024 honor graduate from Lanier High School, and he is studying aerospace engineering at Georgia Tech, where he is part of several space-related clubs. Nichelson is also a percussionist and plays cymbals in the Georgia Tech marching band. He recently built and launched his own rocket. Nichelson is the son of Céline and Scott Nichelson of Buford.
