The Buford High School varsity volleyball team was on the road at Parkview High School on Thursday night. Buford’s first opponent of the night was Parkview who they defeated 25-11, 25-12. Up next was Wesleyan and the Lady Wolves beat them as well with set scores of 25-6, 25-8.
Junior Ashley Sturzoiu led Buford’s attack against Parkview with nine kills. Seniors Mikayla Hayden and Kiana Polk had six kills each in the game against Wesleyan. Setters Polly Cummings and Grace Moon, both from the Class of 2023, each had 23 assists on Thursday night.
Buford’s overall season record improves to 16-1.
Up next for the Lady Wolves is a road match next Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. at Central Gwinnett where they will take on region opponents Central Gwinnett and Dacula.
