The Buford volleyball team took on Parkview, Duluth and Shiloh in pool play for the Gwinnett County Volleyball Championship on Thursday, Sept. 23 at Parkview High School. The Lady Wolves first defeated Parkview 25,11, 25-19 and then beat Duluth 25-11, 25-20. Buford played Shiloh last winning with set scores of 25-5, 25-8.
Senior Mikayla Hayden led the Buford offense with 22 kills on the night. Junior Ashley Sturzoiu had 16 kills and senior Kiana Polk, who recently committed to Coppin University contributed with 13 kills.
Buford (23-2, 4-0) will play in the Gold Bracket of the Gwinnett County Volleyball Championship on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Greater Atlanta Christian.
