Gabby Curry, Buford High School Class of 2017 graduate and her fellow University of Kentucky volleyball teammates won the NCAA Championship title on Saturday, April 24. Kentucky beat Texas with set scores of 20-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-22. This is Kentucky volleyball’s first-ever national title.
Curry is a senior at Kentucky and earned SEC Libero of the Year in 2019. At Buford, Curry was named the Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year her junior and senior years. She earned several other honors during her time at BHS. Curry helped Buford win state titles in volleyball in 2015 and 2016.
