BUFORD — Buford High School senior Malone VanGorder announced on Sunday that he has decided to further his academic and athletic career at Bowling Green State University (Bowling Green, OH).
VanGorder has been a key part of Buford’s powerful offensive line. The 6-foot-2, 255-pound lineman helped the Buford Wolves win the 2019 Class AAAAA State Championship title. Football runs in VanGorder’s genes. His father, Brian VanGorder is a longtime college football coach who is currently the defensive coordinator at Bowling Green. His brother Montgomery VanGorder has also had a successful football career.
