BUFORD — Buford High School rising senior Matthew Alexander announced on Wednesday his commitment to the University of Central Florida’s football program. Alexander is listed as a three-star recruit by Rivals.
The 6-foot-three, 280-pound defensive tackle helped the Wolves to the 2019 Class AAAAA State Championship. Alexander had 31 tackles, 21 assists, 8 tackles for loss, 3 QB pressures, 1 sack, caused one fumble and recovered a fumble in his 2019 season for Buford.
Alexander garnered numerous offers from D1 schools including Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Harvard, and Princeton. He received 30 offers in total.
