Whataburger, a Texas-based fast food chain, has announced plans to open a new location in Buford.
The restaurant will be part of Exchange at Gwinnett, the mixed-use development that is home to Topgolf, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, Sprouts Farmers Market, various restaurants, other retailers and residential flats on Buford Drive. Plans are in place for a 2023 opening.
The Buford Whataburger is one of eight locations set to open in the metro Atlanta area, including restaurants in Kennesaw, Woodstock, Cumming, Commerce, Dawsonville and two locations in Athens. Whataburger also currently operates a restaurant in Thomasville.
