Around 12:17 a.m. Tuesday morning, two suspects, described as young males in disguise by Buford director of public safety Dan Branch, were seen on security cameras painting graffiti on a Main St. dumpster enclosure along with other properties on Historic Buford’s main strip.
Branch said the men also went across the railroad tracks and drew similar graffiti on street signs along Jackson St. The City of Buford filed a police report with the Gwinnett County Police Department, and a team of investigators have been assigned to the case.
“This costs our taxpayers money,” Branch told the North Gwinnett Voice. “It doesn’t reflect who we are as a city. This is very rare.”
According to imaging released by the City of Buford, one of the suspects is seen shirtless with yellow shorts and a black mask covering his head. The other suspect is spotted with a hood over his head, hiding his identity.
