Been spooked by the price of World Series tickets but still love the game and the electric atmosphere of being with fellow fans? Here’s just about the best deal in town — without the scammers! And all it’ll cost you is a can of soup.

Come join the city of Suwanee tonight to watch the Atlanta Braves from the real cheap seats on a real big screen. The City of Suwanee, in conjunction with the Suwanee Police Department, will host a watch party of sorts for Game 4 of the World Series tonight at 8 p.m. at Town Center Park. Attendees are encouraged to grab food and beverage from local merchants and gather to watch the broadcast, as well as to bring canned goods to benefit the North Gwinnett Co-Op.

In a big game of their own, Suwanee PD is currently facing off against the Duluth Police Department for the goodhearted “Battle of the Badges” contest. The two groups are collecting canned goods to benefit their respective local co-ops, just in time for the upcoming holiday season.

“The items collected through the Duluth PD drives will benefit the Duluth Co-op, whereas the items collected through the Suwanee PD drives (such as the one tonight at Town Center Park), will be donated to us,” said Kim Phillips, director of the North Gwinnett Co-op.
