COVID-19 impacts Buford residential trash services

BUFORD – The City of Buford Sanitation Department has made changes to its residential waste disposal services in light of the COVID-19 virus.

The changes started on Monday, March 30 and will continue until further notice. These changes were necessary to stay in line with local, state, and federal guidelines in regards to the coronavirus pandemic.

The sanitation workers will only provide essential housed garbage service. Leaf and limb pick up and curbside trash pick up have been suspended. Please refrain from placing these items at the curb until services resume.

These services will resume once guidelines are amended to allow them to operate as normal.
