The body of a swimmer who went missing Saturday, May 8, in Flat Creek has been located.
Just before 1 p.m. today, game wardens with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources located the body with sector scan sonar at the mouth of Balus Creek on Lake Lanier. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office dive team recovered the body in 44 feet of water.
According to Mark McKinnon, public affairs officer with the law enforcement division of the Georgia DNR, the victim has been identified as Anthony Saintil Jr., 23, of Stockbridge.
