Gwinnett County police were at the scene of a domestic dispute Saturday night that resulted in the death of a family member at a Dacula residence.
Police responded shortly after 7:30 p.m. to a call regarding a “person shot” on Overlook Pass in unincorporated Dacula. Upon arrival, officers found a adult male with at least one gunshot wound. The victim had been shot in the garage and was later pronounced dead.
A suspect in the shooting, an adult male who fled the scene, has been taken into custody. There were several other family members inside the residence at the time of the shooting.
The Gwinnett County Police Department Criminal Investigations Section, along with the Crime Scene Unit, were at the home gathering evidence and processing the scene.
