BUFORD — Buford senior Evan Manley has committed to continue his football career at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.

Manley, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound tight end and fullback, announced his commitment to the NCAA Division I program Aug. 30.

The senior helped Buford capture state and national championships during the 2025 season and returns as part of a Wolves program looking to build on that success this fall.

In addition to his work on the football field, Manley carries a 4.2 grade-point average.

The Citadel competes in the Southern Conference at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision level. The Bulldogs play their home games in Charleston.

Founded in 1842, The Citadel is a military college with approximately 2,300 members in its South Carolina Corps of Cadets. While cadets are not required to enter military service after graduation, approximately one-third of each graduating class receives a military commission.

Manley is a member of Buford’s Class of 2027.
