Hall County Fire Rescue responded to a commercial fire at the Home Depot on Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch at approximately 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 25. An HVAC unit on the roof was the source of the fire, creating a large column of smoke as units arrived.
Customers and employees were evacuated safely, and there was no damage to the inside of the building.
HCFR extinguished the fire in less than 30 minutes with assistance from the Flowery Branch Police Department, whose personnel helped control the crowd, as well as directed traffic in the area.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
