BUFORD — Residents on a quiet street in “Old Town” Buford woke to quite a sight last week. Gwinnett County Fire Department was dispatched at 8:02 a.m. on Friday, July 26 to Sudderth Street between Espy Street and Morgan Street.
When firefighters arrived five minutes later, they found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. The fire spread from the vehicle to a nearby shed. A crew quickly worked to knock down the flames employing a lone fire attack handline. The blaze was under control at 8:14 a.m.
Investigators ruled the fire as accidental. There were no reported injuries.
