A fatal motorcycle accident is under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit.
The accident occurred about 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 15 on Ga. Highway 53/Winder Highway at Oliver Road in the Chestnut Mountain area. The victim, 31-year-old James Chatham, died at the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicate the victim was attempting to pass vehicles on the roadway when his motorcycle, a 2012 KTM, hit a concrete median and then a road sign.
