Flowery Branch woman arrested for manslaughter

(Flowery Branch, Ga.) — Hall County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019, in the 5100 block of Sable Court in Flowery Branch. The female caller to 911 stated that she had shot her live-in boyfriend at their residence.

Deputies and investigators with Hall County found Everton Carter, age 44 deceased from a single gunshot wound to his torso. Sabrina Banks Turner, age 48 was the female caller to 911 and she was still at the residence when deputies arrived.

Turner was taken into custody by Hall County Sheriff’s deputies.  Following an interview, she was charged with one count of voluntary manslaughter.

According to Hall County, no one else was at the home at the time of the shooting and that the investigation revealed that the incident seems to be domestic in nature.

This case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
